To celebrate Christmas, I present the interior of the Chapel of the Sacred Heart at Grand Teton National Park.
I’m not personally religious, but I still enjoy the architecture of places of worship. In crafting their holy places, human beings reach for the sublime, which is evident even in rustic places like this… perhaps especially so. The very land of a place like Grand Teton National Park commands reverence, and this church fits into that gestalt while being neither plain nor overpowering.
