Battery Spencer, on a bluff in Sausalito, offers one of the most majestic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. The view does have a price, though: The wind was so strong I felt under assault. I’m glad my Really Right Stuff tripod held up enough to the fusillade to let me take usable pictures.
This was my third visit to San Francisco, but it still felt fresh. Compared to my previous visit in 2011, more internet resources exist to help identify neat places to see and useful vantages for photography. I also have much more skill as a photographer now, which I used to wrest more compelling images from my travels.
