When I visited the Great Smoky Mountains a couple years ago with my grandparents, we arrived early enough that this spellbinding view of clouds swirling through the mountains greeted us at Clingmans Dome. Alas, the clouds had dissipated by the time I returned from hiking out to Andrew’s Bald, but that made me appreciate what I had seen all the more.
The sight was such so widesweeping and majestic that a panorama felt appropriate.
