The rustic yet sophisticated feel of the Aspen Chapel, the exterior of which I’ve previously posted, continues inside. It feels like it belongs in the mountains.
My grandparents and I had actually glimpsed the Aspen Chapel on the way to the Maroon Bells and thought it looked neat, but we didn’t stop. The whirling clouds of a snowstorm weren’t conducive to photographing those stories peaks, so we headed back toward Aspen and decided to stop here after all. After a suitable period of admiring this distinctive house of worship, we decided to head back to the Maroon Bells to try again, because who knew when or if any of us would be back. The weather did cooperate a bit more in the photographing of the mountains that time!
